Do I get the source code for HeroMembership?
Yes you do. The code is available in both C# and VB.
How many people can use this code?
Each license is for one person. If you need more access for more people, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you arrange a group purchase.
How many sites can I use this on?
You can use this on any, or every, site you create. Please remember though, one license is good for one user. Feel free to contact us and tell us about a published site you’ve created with our help. We’d love to hear from you!
Do I have to pay royalties if I use your code and my site makes millions of dollars?
Hmmm . . . interesting thought – but no. HeroCoder is royalty-free.
What’s your upgrade policy?
You receive all 1.x enhancements and bug fixes for free. All new versions are available by logging into the HeroCoder.com website using your username and password you created when you originally purchased the product. If / when we release subsequent versions of the product with new features, all 2.x and beyond will require the purchase of a new license which, as you would expect, would be discounted to current licensees of the 1.x version
Can I download the videos?
The videos are not currently available in a downloadable format. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Does HeroMembership support payment options?
HeroMembership 1.x does not support any notion of payment / credit card payment / eCommerce / PayPal / recurring payments or anything related to these. If this is functionality you need, you can certainly integrate it into the product since you own the source code.
Does HeroMembership work with Access? Oracle? MySql?
No, at this time HeroMembership only works with SQL Server 2005 databases (all versions). HeroMembership uses the ASP.NET SQL Memberhsip Provider and ASP.NET SQL Roles Provider. If you can purchase or build a Membership and Roles provider for your given database engine, then 99% of HeroMembership will work. (There are two small items that we had to bypass the Provider architecture to support. These are documented in the forums.)
